Deborah Rozak has been a Board member since 2002. Prior to that time she was a member of the Custer Township Planning and Zoning Commission and the Will County Planning and Zoning Commission.

She currently is vice-chair of the Land Use & Development Committee.  She also sits on the Legislative & Policy Committee.  Rozak believes that the number one priority she has as a board member is balancing the unprecedented population growth in Will County with maintaining a high quality of life and preserving open space.

She served as vice chairman of the School Impact Fees committee, which saw through an ordinance requiring developers in unincorporated areas to pay impact fees to relieve the burden of the explosive growth on school systems.

Currently, Rozak is a full time wife, mom and grandmother. Previous to this, she was a legal secretary for nearly 20 years, and worked for the Will County State ’s Attorney from 1976-1980. During that time of her life, she was a member of the Will County Legal Secretaries Association and secretary of the Illinois Association of Legal Secretaries.

Civic involvement is important to Rozak, and is reflected in the organizations she is a part of. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Harwood Post #5 and the Dow Chemical Citizens Advisory Panel.

Wilmington is where Rozak calls home along with her husband Dan.  She has four children and four grandchildren. Further, she is the fourth generation of her family to reside in the county.  Debbie's hobbies include scrapbooking.
